I heard Hillary today on NPR talking to a group about global climate change and energy independence.

She actually said that she thinks we need to substitute environmentally friendly kinds of energy for oil and she thinks we can replace 20% of the oil used with solar, wind and plant sources by 2020!! I couldn't believe my ears! What planet does she live on? Or is she just trying to be realistic? Does she really think we can wait that long or does she just think this is the rate at which we can realistically make these sorts of changes.

If she's correct, we're in for it! That is MUCH too slow! What IS she thinking? She talked about the millions of people who will be displaced by rising sea water and then she made this weak, anemic proposal as a solution. What is she sniffing? (I live up the hill from the shore and hope that my property doesn't become waterfront any time soon!)
